Rest & Sabbath
Sabbath Rest in a Hustle World
Exodus 20:8-10
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of YAHUAH thy Elohiym..."
Reflection
We live in a grind culture that glorifies exhaustion and mocks rest. But YAHUAH built rest into the rhythm of creation. Sabbath is not laziness—it is loyalty. It is a weekly declaration that YAH is your Source, not your hustle.
Keeping the day set apart is not just about rules; it is about relationship. You stop striving long enough to remember Who actually holds your life together. In a world that burns out chasing more, YAH calls His people to be a sign: rested, anchored, and dependent on Him.
Prayer
YAHUAH, forgive me for treating rest as optional and Sabbath as negotiable. Teach me how to honor the rhythm You designed. Help me set apart real time to cease from striving and to delight in You.
Action Step
Plan intentional rest this week: unplug from unnecessary work, limit digital noise, and spend focused time in the Word, prayer, and simple enjoyment of YAH's goodness.
