When Obedience Costs You

Luke 9:23-24

"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it."

Reflection

Following YAHUSHA is not a side hobby; it costs you your whole life. Modern religion sells comfort, but the Mashiach preached a cross. Denying yourself means your desires are no longer the final authority—His will is. There will be days obedience costs you relationships, opportunities, and ego. The flesh will scream for an easier route, but there is no crown without a cross. Losing your life for His sake does not mean living empty; it means trading a temporary script for an eternal assignment. YAHUSHA is not trying to ruin your life—He is trying to rescue it from being wasted.

Prayer

YAHUSHA, I lay down my plans, my pride, and my right to run my own life. Give me strength to deny myself when obedience is uncomfortable. Help me carry my cross daily with joy, knowing that true life is only found in You.

Action Step

Think of one area where you have been resisting obedience because it feels costly. Choose today to obey YAHUAH in that area, even if your feelings do not agree.
