Discipline & Sonship

When YAHUAH Chastens You

Hebrews 12:6

"For whom YAHUAH loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth."

Reflection

Discipline from YAHUAH does not feel good, but it is proof you belong to Him. He does not let His children run toward destruction without correction. The enemy condemns to destroy you; YAHUAH corrects to restore you. In the moment, chastening feels painful, but later it produces the peaceful fruit of righteousness. If you only accept the comfort of YAH and reject His correction, you are not walking as a true son or daughter. Love without discipline is not love—it is neglect.

Prayer

YAHUAH, thank You that Your correction proves I am Yours. Where I have despised or resisted Your discipline, forgive me. Help me submit to Your hand and trust that Your correction is for my good and Your glory.

Action Step

Reflect on a recent correction from YAHUAH—through conviction, consequences, or counsel. Instead of resenting it, thank Him for it and ask what He wants you to learn.
