Who Is YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH?

The begotten Son of YAHUAH — the Living Word made flesh, carrying His Father's Name and authority, sent into the world to save the remnant. The only Way. The only Name. The King who is coming back.

Hebrew: יהושע המשיח · Transliteration: YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH · Translation: "YAHUAH saves — the Anointed One"

YAHUSHA Is Not a Religious Nickname

Modern Christianity gave the world a sanitized version. A friendly teacher. A self-help coach with sandals. A vibe. Scripture gives the world something else entirely.

YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH is the begotten Son of YAHUAH — the Living Word made flesh, sent into the world by His Father. He carries the Father's Name (YAH is embedded in His own). He carries the Father's authority. He carries the Father's message. But He is not the Father. He always pointed to the Father as greater (John 14:28). And the Father raised Him, exalted Him, and seated Him at His right hand (Acts 2:33, Philippians 2:9).

"And there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
— Acts 4:12

One Father. One Son. One Way. The remnant does not negotiate this. YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH said it Himself: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6). The Father is the destination. The Son is the Way to the Father. We read Scripture. Not creeds.

What YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH Means in Hebrew

The Name itself preaches the gospel. Let's slow down and look:

YAHUSHA (יהושע)

Hebrew Name meaning "YAHUAH saves" or "YAHUAH is salvation." The embedded YAH at the front is the contraction of the Father's Name (YAHUAH). The Son carries the Father's Name because the Father sent Him in His own Name (John 5:43, John 17:11). YAHUSHA does not have a Name independent of the Father — His Name declares the Father's saving work.

HAMASHIACH (המשיח)

Ha- means "the." Mashiach means "the Anointed One." Hebrew origin of the English word "Messiah" and the Greek Christos. Not a generic title — it is the prophesied Anointed King, Priest, and Prophet whom YAHUAH promised from Genesis 3:15 onward.

YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH

"YAHUAH saves — the Anointed One." The Name and Title together preach the entire gospel in five Hebrew syllables. The Son's Name declares what the Father did through the Son.

Why YAHUSHA and Not Jesus / Yeshua

Different Names have referred to the same Person across cultures and centuries. Let's lay them out:

"Jesus" — Latin/English Transliteration of Greek

The English "Jesus" comes through Latin Iesus from Greek Iēsous. The Greek was itself a transliteration of the Hebrew. The Name traveled across two languages before reaching English. We do not teach that calling Him "Jesus" damns anyone — Scripture is clear that calling on the Name in faith saves. We DO teach that the Hebrew Name carries meaning the transliterations lose.

"Yeshua" — Contracted Hebrew Form

Yeshua (ישוע) is the contracted form used in later Judaism. Same Person, shorter form. We use YAHUSHA because the full Hebrew form (יהושע) keeps the embedded YAH visible — the Father's Name within the Son's Name. The full form preaches what the contracted form conceals.

"YAHUSHA" — Full Hebrew Form

YAHUSHA (יהושע) is the full Hebrew Name as it appears in the Old Testament. Joshua, son of Nun — the one who led Israel into the Promised Land — bore the identical Name in Hebrew. The typological parallel is intentional: the earlier YAHUSHA led the people into the physical promise; the eternal YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH leads the remnant into the eternal promise.

YAHUAH Prophesied HAMASHIACH From the Beginning

YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH did not show up in the first century unannounced. The Father promised Him from the first sin in Eden and prophesied His coming across centuries — His birth, His ministry, His suffering, His resurrection, His return.

Genesis 3:15 — The Seed of the Woman

"I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." The first messianic promise — spoken by YAHUAH to the serpent in Eden. The deliverer would come from the woman, would be wounded, and would crush the head of the serpent.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19 — The Prophet Like Moses

"YAHUAH thy Elohiym will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken." The Father promised to send a Son raised up from among the people — one who would speak the Father's words and exercise the Father's authority. Peter applies this directly to YAHUSHA in Acts 3:22.

Isaiah 7:14 — Immanuel ("El With Us")

"Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel" — meaning "El with us." The sign is that YAHUAH's saving presence comes to His people through the sending of His Son. The child Himself does not have to BE the Father for YAHUAH to be "with us" through Him — He is the appointed Messenger who carries the Father's presence into the world (compare John 14:9-11).

Isaiah 53 — The Suffering Servant

"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." Written 700 years before the cross. Describes the Servant of YAHUAH — willingly suffering, bearing sin, vindicated by the Father. The remnant reads it and sees YAHUSHA.

Psalm 22 — His Crucifixion (1,000 Years Prior)

"My El, My El, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" (Psalm 22:1) — quoted by YAHUSHA from the cross (Matthew 27:46). The Son in His suffering cries out to His Father. The psalm describes pierced hands and feet, garments divided by lot, mockers wagging their heads. Written 1,000 years before Roman crucifixion was even invented. The witness is overwhelming.

Micah 5:2 — Born in Bethlehem, From Everlasting

"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." A specific town. A pre-existent Son. The Father announces that the One He will send has been with Him "from of old." The Son came forth FROM the Father — sent by Him, not equal with Him.

Who YAHUSHA Said He Is — And Who His Father Is

YAHUSHA was plain about His own identity. He was equally plain about His Father's. Both matter. Scripture never blurs the two.

What YAHUSHA said about Himself:

  • John 14:6 — "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." Not a way among many. The Way to the Father. Singular. Exclusive.
  • John 14:9 — "He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father." YAHUSHA is the perfect representation of His Father — His exact image (Hebrews 1:3). To see the Son is to see what the Father is like, because the Son speaks only what the Father gives Him to speak (John 12:49-50).
  • John 17:5 — "And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was." YAHUSHA pre-existed with His Father before creation. He came from the Father. He was sent by the Father.
  • Matthew 28:18 — "All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth." Authority received from the Father — not possessed independently. The Father gave; the Son receives and exercises.

What YAHUSHA said about His Father:

  • John 14:28 — "My Father is greater than I." YAHUSHA's own words, plainly spoken to His disciples. The Son does not claim equality with the Father — He confesses His Father as greater.
  • John 17:3 — "And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee, the only true Elohiym, and YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH, whom Thou hast sent." YAHUSHA prays to the Father and identifies Him as the only true Elohiym. The Son is the Sent One — the appointed Messenger of the Father.
  • John 5:19 — "The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do." The Son's authority and works come from the Father, not from any independent source.
  • John 20:17 — "I ascend unto My Father, and your Father; and to My Elohiym, and your Elohiym." The risen YAHUSHA Himself calls the Father "My Elohiym." The Son worships the Father — He is not the Father.
  • 1 Timothy 2:5 — "For there is one Elohiym, and one mediator between Elohiym and men, the man HAMASHIACH YAHUSHA." One Elohiym (the Father). One Mediator (the Son). Two distinct Persons in two distinct roles.
  • Acts 2:36 — "Let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that Elohiym hath made that same YAHUSHA, whom ye have crucified, both Master and HAMASHIACH." YAHUAH the Father made Him Master and HAMASHIACH. The Father is the One who exalted the Son.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 — At the end, YAHUSHA "shall have delivered up the kingdom to Elohiym, even the Father... then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that Elohiym may be all in all." The Son's exalted reign culminates in handing the Kingdom back to the Father. The Father is supreme. The Son is the eternal, faithful, beloved Son.

The pattern is unbreakable: the Father sends, the Son obeys; the Father gives, the Son receives; the Father raises, the Son is raised; the Father exalts, the Son is exalted. The Son is the perfect image of the Father, carries the Father's Name, and exercises the Father's authority — but the Son is the begotten Son, distinctly subordinate to the One who sent Him. We read this from Scripture, not from creeds invented centuries later.

What YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH Did (and Will Do)

The Gospel in seven movements — all sent by the Father, all foretold by the prophets, all fulfilled by the Son:

  1. Born of a virgin in Bethlehem, sent by His Father, fulfilling Isaiah 7:14 and Micah 5:2.
  2. Lived sinless for ~33 years under the Torah, fulfilling Isaiah 53:9 — "He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth."
  3. Ministered with power received from the Father — healed the sick, raised the dead, taught with authority, exposed religious hypocrisy.
  4. Crucified for our sins at Passover, fulfilling Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22 — bearing the wrath we deserved, in obedience to the Father.
  5. Buried and raised by the Father on the third day (Acts 2:24, Romans 4:24), fulfilling the sign of Jonah (Matthew 12:40) and the Feast of First Fruits.
  6. Exalted by His Father to His right hand (Acts 2:33, Philippians 2:9-11) and poured out the RUACH HAQODESH at Shavuot (Acts 2).
  7. Is coming back as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (Revelation 19:11-16), and at the end will deliver the Kingdom back to the Father (1 Corinthians 15:24-28).

What It Means to Follow YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH

Believing facts about YAHUSHA is not the same as following Him. The demons believe — and tremble (James 2:19). Following Him is what discipleship means.

  • Repent (Mark 1:15). Turn from sin. Confess. Walk the other direction. Daily.
  • Believe that He is the begotten Son of YAHUAH, that He died for your sins, that the Father raised Him on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
  • Confess Him as Master (Romans 10:9-10). Out loud. Before men. Without shame.
  • Be baptized in His Name (Acts 2:38). Buried with Him in death, raised with Him in newness of life.
  • Receive the RUACH HAQODESH (Acts 2:38) — the indwelling Set-Apart Spirit of YAHUAH who empowers obedience.
  • Obey His commandments (John 14:15). "If ye love Me, keep My commandments." Love and obedience are not separate.
  • Take up your cross daily (Luke 9:23). Following YAHUSHA costs everything. The remnant counts it joy.
  • Endure to the end (Matthew 24:13). "He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Not a sprint. A walk that lasts a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is YAHUSHA the same as Jesus?

Same Person — different Name. YAHUSHA (יהושע) is the Hebrew Name of the Messiah, meaning "YAHUAH saves." "Jesus" is the English transliteration of the Greek Iēsous, which in turn is the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew. We use YAHUSHA because the Hebrew Name preserves the embedded YAH — the Father's Name within the Son's Name — and because the meaning ("YAHUAH saves") is the entire gospel in one word.

Why use YAHUSHA instead of Yeshua?

Yeshua (ישוע) is the contracted form used in later Judaism. YAHUSHA (יהושע) is the full Hebrew Name as it appears in the Old Testament. The full form keeps the embedded YAH intact, making the meaning explicit: "YAH saves." Yeshua is not wrong — it is the same Person — we believe YAHUSHA is the older, fuller, and more revealed form of the Name.

Is YAHUSHA the same as YAHUAH?

No. They are distinctly different Persons. YAHUAH is the Father — the Most High, the Creator, the only true Elohiym (John 17:3). YAHUSHA is His begotten Son, sent by the Father, carrying His Father's Name and authority but distinctly subordinate to Him. YAHUSHA Himself said plainly: "My Father is greater than I" (John 14:28). The Father sent the Son; the Son obeyed the Father; the Father raised the Son; the Father exalted the Son. The Son worships the Father — He is not the Father. The remnant reads Scripture, not creeds.

Did YAHUSHA exist before His birth?

Yes. YAHUSHA prayed in John 17:5: "Father, glorify Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was." He pre-existed with His Father before creation. Through Him all things were made (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16). Micah 5:2 prophesied that His "goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." This is the eternal Sonship of the begotten Son — not equality with the Father, but pre-existent intimacy with Him. He emptied Himself, took the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7), was born of a virgin, lived sinless, died, was raised by His Father, and is now exalted at the right hand of YAHUAH.

How do I receive YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH?

Repent of your sins. Believe that YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH is the begotten Son of YAHUAH, that He died for your sins and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Confess Him as Master out loud (Romans 10:9-10). Be baptized in His Name (Acts 2:38). Receive the RUACH HAQODESH. Walk in His commandments. This is not a one-time prayer — it is the start of a daily surrender that lasts until He returns or you go home to be with Him.

No Other Name. Surrender Now.

The world will offer you a thousand names to bow to. Self. Money. Power. Pleasure. Pride. The sanitized Jesus of comfortable Christianity. The contracted Yeshua of later traditions. The mystical "Christ-consciousness" of New Age teachings. The non-binding philosophy of "all paths lead to God."

Scripture lists exactly one Name for salvation. Acts 4:12 — "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." The Name is YAHUSHA. The Title is HAMASHIACH. The Father is YAHUAH. The Way to the Father is the Son. There is no other way.

He is coming back. The Spring Feasts already fulfilled His first coming. The Fall Feasts foreshadow His return. The signs of the times are flashing red. The window to surrender will not stay open forever.

Repent. Believe. Confess. Be baptized. Walk in the Spirit. Endure.
