News, Fear, and the Business of Keeping You Anxious
The news industry is not a ministry of truth. It’s a business model built on:
- Fear
- Outrage
- Constant crisis
The formula:
- Scare you.
- Keep you watching.
- Sell your attention.
If you don’t understand this, you’ll confuse being informed with being discipled by fear.
Fear Sells. Peace Does Not.
Headlines are crafted to:
- Trigger panic
- Stir anger
- Make you feel like the world is ending every 15 minutes
Ironically, YAHUSHA already told us:
- There would be wars, rumors of wars, pestilence, earthquakes.
- Hearts would fail from fear.
The news profits off what prophecy already warned.
Symptoms of Fear Discipleship
- You can’t go a day without checking headlines.
- Your mood rises and falls with global events.
- You feel hopeless and paralyzed instead of prayerful and focused.
- You talk more about “breaking news” than the Kingdom.
That’s not information. That’s bondage.
How to Stay Awake Without Being Consumed
- Limit Your Intake
- Choose Sources Intentionally
- Pray the Headlines
- Remember the Bigger Story
Mental Health and the 24/7 Crisis Feed
Many are:
- Already exhausted
- Already traumatized
- Already on edge
The constant crisis feed:
- Keeps your nervous system on high alert
- Makes small personal problems feel like “the last straw”
- Steals your ability to rest
You were not built to carry the emotional weight of global news constantly.
Kingdom Perspective
We are called to:
- Watch
- Pray
- Discern the times
We are not called to:
- Absorb every detail of every disaster
- Live in dread
- Spread panic
The remnant doesn’t hide from reality. We just refuse to let the news be our shepherd.

Final Call
Ask yourself:
“Is my news habit feeding fear or fueling prayer?”
If fear wins, shut some gates.
Let the peace of YAHUAH rule your heart— not the daily fear report.
