Caesar Borgia, “White Jesus,” and the Lie That Stole the Face of YAHUSHA
The blue-eyed, flowing-hair “Jesus” many grew up seeing is not the Hebrew YAHUSHA from the tribe of Yahudah. It’s a theological costume—shaped by empire, art, and long-term agenda.
Cesare (Caesar) Borgia always comes up in this conversation. Some claims are exaggerated. But even when the meme is wrong, the pattern is real: Europe rebranded the Messiah into its own image and exported it worldwide.

Quick Ground Rules: Myth vs Pattern
- The claim “every Jesus painting is literally Borgia” is likely overstated.
- The reality that a Hebrew Messiah was routinely portrayed with European features is historically undeniable.
- That image was used to support empire, colonization, and a Romanized religious system.
So we don’t need conspiracy to tell the truth—we need discernment.
Who Was Cesare (Caesar) Borgia?
Cesare Borgia was:
- son of Pope Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia)
- a 15th–16th century Italian noble and military commander
- known for politics, violence, and power—not set-apart holiness
Even if he wasn’t the literal model for all art, his story symbolizes a larger reality: powerful European identity layered over the face of Messiah.
Where “White Jesus” Actually Came From
What we know historically:
- early Messiah art existed before Borgia
- as faith spread into Europe, depictions increasingly took on European features
- by the Renaissance, “Christ” often resembled European nobility and Roman ideals
- these images became the global default through churches, schools, and missions
Bottom line:
Europe systematically rebranded a Hebrew Messiah into a European “Jesus.”
Why This Matters Spiritually (Not Just Politically)
Images disciple imagination.
The face people see when they pray shapes:
- how they picture authority
- how they view holiness
- how they interpret history
- how they see themselves
That whitewashed image was carried into:
- colonized lands
- slavery systems
- mission structures
- education pipelines
It functioned as propaganda: “holiness looks like them.”
What Did YAHUSHA Likely Look Like?
Scripture doesn’t give a “police sketch,” but we know:
- YAHUSHA was a Hebrew man in a Semitic, Middle Eastern context
- He did not resemble Nordic or Renaissance Italian nobility
- Revelation’s imagery (wool / bronze) reinforces that the default white icon is dishonest
You don’t need to argue every shade to reject a false icon.
What Do We Do With This?
1) Smash idols (mental and physical)
If a picture has become more real than Scripture, it’s idolatry.2) Return to the Hebrew YAHUSHA
Study His Torah context, covenant identity, and Kingdom message.3) Detach the gospel from empire
Romanized “Christianity” and the early followers of The Way are not the same story.4) Teach the next generation
Don’t let children be discipled by Eurocentric fantasy. Ground them in truth.FAQ: Quick Clarity
“Does it matter what color He was?”
If it “didn’t matter,” empire wouldn’t have pushed one image globally for centuries. The issue is deception and discipleship, not skin obsession.“Should we replace it with another racial idol?”
No. The goal is to reject idols and restore truthful context—a Hebrew Messiah in a Hebrew story.Final Word: Give YAHUSHA His Face Back
This isn’t racial hate. It’s breaking deception.
YAHUSHA is not a European mascot. He is the Hebrew Mashiach, Son of YAHUAH, returning in power.
