Spring Feast (fulfilled in YAHUSHA) · Fulfilled in YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH

First Fruits (Bikkurim)

The harvest begins with the risen Son.

Hebrew: בִּכּוּרִים · Bikkurim · Day after the weekly Sabbath during Unleavened Bread

First Fruits is the day Israel presented the first sheaf of barley before YAHUAH — a guarantee of the full harvest. The Father raised YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH from the dead on this appointed time: the firstfruits of those who sleep.

What This Feast Is

A one-day offering during Unleavened Bread. The priest waves the first ripe sheaf. No other grain from the new harvest is eaten until this offering is made (Leviticus 23:9-14).

How YAHUSHA Fulfilled It

YAHUSHA is risen — the firstfruits of the resurrection harvest (1 Corinthians 15:20-23). His resurrection secures the bodily hope of the remnant at His return.

How the Remnant Observes It

Honor the day with Scripture, worship, and proclamation of the resurrection. Teach that the empty tomb is dated on the Father's calendar — not Easter Sunday divorced from moedim.

Why It Matters

Without First Fruits, faith is vain (1 Corinthians 15:14). The Feast anchors resurrection hope to YAHUAH's timetable.

Key Scriptures

  • Leviticus 23:9-14 — Wave sheaf offering
  • 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 — Firstfruits of the dead
  • Matthew 28:1-6 — The tomb empty
  • Acts 2:24 — Raised up by YAHUAH

Frequently Asked Questions

Is First Fruits the same as Easter?

Easter is not a biblical moed. First Fruits is Leviticus 23. The remnant celebrates resurrection on the Father's calendar, not a church holiday with pagan roots.

What harvest does First Fruits promise?

The greater harvest of the righteous at YAHUSHA's return — those who belong to MASHIACH will be raised incorruptible (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

Why wave a sheaf of grain?

It dedicates the first and best to YAHUAH, acknowledging that all increase comes from Him. YAHUSHA is the first and best of the resurrection harvest.
