Spring Feast (fulfilled in YAHUSHA) · Fulfilled in YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH

Shavuot (Pentecost)

Fifty days. Fire on the mountain. Fire in the upper room.

Hebrew: שָׁבוּעוֹת · Shavuot (Pentecost) · 50 days after First Fruits

Shavuot marks fifty days from First Fruits — the wheat harvest feast. At Sinai YAHUAH gave the Torah in fire. In Acts 2 He poured out the RUACH HAQODESH in fire on the same moed — writing His law on hearts of flesh as Jeremiah promised.

What This Feast Is

A set-apart convocation with grain offerings and rejoicing before YAHUAH (Leviticus 23:15-21). Historically linked to the giving of the Law and the wheat harvest.

How YAHUSHA Fulfilled It

YAHUSHA sent the promise of the Father — the RUACH HAQODESH — empowering the remnant for obedience and witness (Acts 2:1-4, John 14:26). Same Feast. Same Father. New covenant application.

How the Remnant Observes It

Read Acts 2 and Exodus 19-20. Gather for Scripture and prayer. Ask the Father to fill your household with His Spirit for obedience, not experience-chasing.

Why It Matters

Power without Torah produces chaos. Torah without Spirit produces dead religion. Shavuot holds them together on YAHUAH's calendar.

Key Scriptures

  • Leviticus 23:15-21 — Count fifty days
  • Acts 2:1-4 — Spirit poured out
  • Exodus 19-20 — Torah at Sinai
  • Jeremiah 31:33 — Law written on hearts

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it called Pentecost?

Pentecost means fiftieth (Greek). Shavuot is counted seven weeks plus one day from First Fruits — fifty days total.

Is Shavuot only about the Spirit?

It is also the wheat harvest and Torah memorial. Acts 2 fulfills the Feast — the Spirit enables the remnant to walk the Torah YAHUSHA taught.

Should we still celebrate Shavuot today?

Yes. The moedim are eternal. The remnant rejoices in Torah and Spirit together, honoring what the Father did at Sinai and through YAHUSHA.
