Fall Feast (prophetic) · Awaiting fulfillment at His return
Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)
The most solemn day on the Father's calendar.
Hebrew: יוֹם כִּפּוּר · Yom Kippur · 10th day of the seventh month (Tishrei)
Yom Kippur is a day of afflicting the soul — fasting, repentance, standing before the holiness of YAHUAH. The High Priest entered the Most Set-Apart Place once a year. YAHUSHA entered heaven with His own blood — yet the final Day of Judgment pictured in this Feast is still ahead.
What This Feast Is
A Sabbath of complete rest. No work. Afflict your soul (fast) from evening to evening (Leviticus 23:27-32). The nation received atonement through the priestly service (Leviticus 16).
Prophetic Fulfillment Ahead
Partially fulfilled in YAHUSHA's heavenly priesthood (Hebrews 9:11-12). Final fulfillment when books are opened, Israel mourns for Him whom they pierced, and judgment is executed (Zechariah 12:10, Revelation 20).
How the Remnant Observes It
Fast (unless health prevents — seek wisdom). Pray. Confess sin. Read Leviticus 16 and Hebrews 9-10. Intercede for your household and for Israel to recognize YAHUSHA.
Why It Matters
Comfort preaching skipped repentance. Yom Kippur forces the remnant to take sin and judgment seriously before Sukkot's joy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Must everyone fast on Yom Kippur?
Scripture commands afflicting the soul for those able. Children, pregnant women, and those with medical needs should seek righteous counsel — the heart is repentance, not performance.
How is Yom Kippur different from daily repentance?
It is the annual corporate sobering — the whole covenant body stops and stands before YAHUAH together on His appointed day.
Did YAHUSHA end the need for Yom Kippur?
He fulfilled the priestly work in heaven, but the prophetic Day of Judgment this Feast pictures is not finished. The remnant still keeps the moed.
